The Main barn boasts eleven 12 X 12 stalls with rubber mats in all, and either a large window viewing the eastern exposure of the pastures or double doors with a westerly view. All stalls are equipped with the safest materials with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. Above each stall are “full spectrum” lights to assist the cycles of light in the winter months. The Main Barn also has a completely secure, climate controlled tack room to keep tack from weathering in our sometimes extreme climate changes. As the old saying goes : ‘If you don’t like the weather in Florida, wait five minutes it will change’. Attached to the Main Barn is a double sided cross tie concrete wash rack with shelving to keep things neat and tidy. Additionally, the center aisle of the Main Barn is concrete and has several sets of cross ties for tacking up and grooming horses. Archer Farms also is equipped with two 12 X 16 stalls for our larger horses that require more room. These stalls have an attached private paddock for turn out. Furthermore, there is a 14 X 20 broodmare stall that is completely visible from our living room for mares in foal or any horse that needs to watched more closely for any reason. This stall also has a private turnout for its occupant.
The facilities at Archer Farms also include a sixty foot round pen for lunging or long lining purposes. A 200 X 160 grass jumping arena with 13 professionally created jumps with a Liverpool jump for the more advanced jumpers here at the farm. The area is large enough to safely accommodate several riders and their horses both working on the flat or taking a course of fences. There is also a 600 X 600 fenced grass area to work alone if you choose to. Archer Farms is located within a short riding distance of many miles of trails to give you and your horse a sometimes needed mental break from the show ring. Ample trailer parking and easy access is located conveniently at the farm.
Horses are fed a minimum of three times daily, with the special needs of older horses, those in intensive trailing or showing or those recovering from an injury fed accordingly to their needs. We feed only the highest quality feeds and hays that can be found. Believing that every horse here at the farm weather they are owned by Archer Farms or a client or boarder, is a reflection on our ability to condition and care for them. Every horse is given a proper nutritional diet to help them achieve their true potential as an equine athlete.
