"AF Atlas" is a 10 year old 17h Chestnut and White Tobiano Paint/Warmblood cross that has been registered with the American Pinto Horse Association. "Atlas" came to us in Jan. of 2004. Not much is known about "Atlas's" past except that the farm that he was at, considered him to no longer be suitable a hunter or jumper. "Atlas" had some long untreated medical issues that he had to overcome, along with confidence trouble when he first came to live here at Archer Farms, but with love and caring and needed medical treatment, He is one of our superstars today. Showing at his first show in Feb. 2005, "Atlas" achieved a 6th place in a 2'9 hunter class with 19 entries at the enormous PSJ series Show in Newberry,FL with Dorthee Marrossa. The biggest little secret is that this was Dorthee's first show as well !!!
"Atlas" is also being used as one of our Summer Camp horses. We believe that his favorite part of Summer Camp was the horse painting. He always greets anyone who happens by him, weather it is in his stall or out lounging under the trees, having coffee with us on a Saturday morning. He is now going to begin to attempt a career in Cross Country. All he needed was proper medical care and the rest all came into place to make him achieve his true potential.
